SYPRIS PARTNERS WITH PURDUE UNIVERSITY ON CYBER SECURITY RESEARCH

TAMPA, FL. (March 24, 2010) – Sypris Electronics LLC, a subsidiary of Sypris Solutions, Inc., is partnering with Purdue University’s Center for Education and Research in Information Assurance and Security (CERIAS) to jointly focus on cyber security advancements for the protection of the U.S. Government’s networks and the Country’s critical infrastructure. Sypris Electronics will also sit on the External Advisory Board for CERIAS and advise on the future direction of information assurance, security and digital forensic research.


As part of the partnership agreement with CERIAS, Sypris Electronics plans to collaborate on information security research, specifically pertaining to trusted computing, critical infrastructure protection and cloud computing security. These elements are core in the United States Government’s pursuit to the continued protection of cyber security.
