Security Hardening Services

Security hardening servicesSecurity hardening means locking down an IT component in terms of operating system, application, and network security. It is usually performed against a standard, such as the DISA Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), DISA Gold Disk, DISA Security Readiness Review (SRR) scripts, etc.

In some cases, hardening means going beyond DoD compliance to include vendor published information and even security community sources (e.g., Bugtraq).  Often, system owners either do not have the expertise or adequate resources in-house to perform this hardening and need assistance in locking down systems.

Our team has supported security hardening on a number of high-profile systems. In particular, we have locked down several laboratories and research facilities, tactical information systems, highly sensitive communications systems, and wide area networks.
