Sypris Electronics is pleased to announce that it was recently awarded the Manufacturer of the Year Award from the Bay Area Manufacturing Association (BAMA). http://www.bama-fl.org/
The Bay Area Manufacturers Association of Florida includes over 120 member companies, which provide over 2,200 jobs locally. BAMA’s primary purpose is to support manufacturers and promote economic development through manufacturing in the Tampa Bay Region.
To win this award, the BAMA Manufacturer of the Year must demonstrate desired attributes such as leadership, development or growth in the community or industry, or have positively affected the local community through educational programs, scholarships, volunteerism, and encouragement of employee involvement and engagement. Sypris Electronics was recognized during the BAMA Annual Meeting for its commitment and encouragement of employee involvement with the association, Governmental efforts including discussions with the Governor’s office, as well as establishing and leading the BAMA Manufacturers Roundtable events.
For more than 50 years, BAMA has been helping manufactures in Tampa Bay. BAMA’s primary purpose is to support manufacturers and promote economic development through manufacturing in the Tampa Bay Region. BAMA provides an environment that allows its members an opportunity to reach out into the community. They provide a forum to exchange ideas, share “best practice” information, network with colleagues, learn about manufacturing related topics through their educational programs and tours, and supports Scholarship and STEM programs in the Tampa Bay Area.
